Harbour Air · Coal Harbour, downtown Vancouver
A floatplane takes off in front of Canada Place and loops over the downtown towers, Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge before landing back on the harbour. It is the cheapest real flight on this site and the most-reviewed one, with about 20 minutes in the air.

Harbour Air flies this loop every day of the year from its terminal in the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, on the Coal Harbour seawall next to Canada Place. You check in, watch a safety briefing, walk down the ramp and climb into a floatplane with up to 13 other guests. The pilot taxis out into the harbour, opens the throttle, and the floats come off the water in front of the cruise ship terminal.
Up top, the route takes in the downtown skyline, Stanley Park, English Bay, the Lions Gate Bridge and the North Shore Mountains, according to Harbour Air's Vancouver tours page. The Viator itinerary also names Horseshoe Bay, BC Place and Science World. Be clear on the length: the 30 minutes run from boarding to stepping off, as the listing itself says. Expect about 20 minutes in the air. One guest in September 2026 put it at "20 minutes maximum" on the last flight of the day.
There is no live commentary from the pilot. Harbour Air offers a free Digital Tour Guide app instead, and you need your own headphones to hear it over the engine. If you want narration built in, look at Seair's City Skyline tour. If you want more time over the water and the islands, the extended panorama adds about 15 flying minutes.
Walk to the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre at 1055 Canada Place, at Burrard Landing on the Coal Harbour seawall. Adults 18 and over show government photo ID.
You must be fully checked in 20 minutes before departure. Miss it and you cannot board, and the fare is not refunded.
Life jackets and a safety briefing, then the walk down to the dock. Download the tour app now if you want narration.

A splash landing in the harbour, a short taxi and you step off where you started.
★★★★★So worth it arrive early and watch the boats coming in and out and all the seaplanes. [...] Cam was a great pilot take off and landings were so smoother, we barely felt anything.
★★★★★Easy to check in and very orderly boarding process. Sat at the back of the plane. Had window seats and plenty of leg room. Bring ear plugs/buds
★★★★★This was my first time on a sea plane. It did not disappoint. It was a ton of fun. I love flying low and seeing the mountains, the city, and the harbor. Take off and landing was unique. Only wish it could’ve been longer.
