Harbour Air · Coal Harbour, downtown Vancouver
The classic city loop, then out along the coast toward Whistler and back over the islands of Howe Sound. It is the longest city loop on this site, built for people who want water, forest and mountains more than another pass over the towers.

Same dock, same airline, same take-off in front of Canada Place as the classic panorama. The difference is the second half. Harbour Air describes it as its pilots' recommended seasonal route: "Fly north along the coast towards Whistler, then circle back over the picturesque islands of Howe Sound" (Harbour Air's Vancouver tours page). The Viator listing names Stanley Park, English Bay, Howe Sound, Gambier Island and Bowen Island, plus BC Place and Science World on the way home.
The listing promises 15 extra flight minutes compared with the standard tour, inside a 45-minute experience that again counts boarding and landing. That works out to roughly 35 minutes in the air. One September 2026 guest felt the whole thing ran about 10 minutes short of 45; another wrote that the pilot "used the full time to show us as much as possible". One August 2026 guest flew right through The Lions, the twin peaks above the North Shore, and saw snow in August.
The catch is the same as on the classic: no live commentary, only the app, and a small, noisy cabin. Direct, Harbour Air sells it from C$300 per adult and C$235 per child. On Viator it is $223 in USD with taxes in. Per minute in the air it costs about the same as the classic loop.

★★★★★Excellent experience - pilot used the full time to show us as much as possible. Well worth the cost. [...]
